Varkala: The Sivagiri Dharma Sangham will honour prominent personalities from around the world who have made significant contributions in their respective fields on December 31, 2018, as part of the Sivagiri Pilgrimage.
Sajan Pillai, CEO, UST Global, has been chosen for the honour in the Science and Technology category, while V P Nandakumar, MD, Manappuram Finance, will receive the award in the Finance category. Susan Von Surie from Switzerland will be presented with the award for Social Work; Muslim League leader Panakkad Syed Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal for Social Work; Rupa George, Managing Partner, Baby Marine International, for Business and Culture; C Vishnu Bhakthan, MD, New Rajasthan Marbles, for Business; Swamy Niranjan Varma, Vagbhad Goshala, Kancheepuram, for Spirituality; Qutbusaman Sheikh Yusuf Sultan Shah Qdri Chishti, MD, Thaqdees Hospital, for Spirituality and Healthcare; Raj Gopal Nair, MD, Westel Shipping, Muscat, for Business; and Anil Kumar T V, M D , Ambadiyil Milk, for Agriculture.
The award winners will be honoured at a mega conclave organised on December 31, 2018, at Sivagiri, in the presence of a major congregation of pilgrims and prominent personalities from all walks of life, according to Sivagiri Dharma Sangham Trust general secretary Swamy Sandrananda, Pilgrimage committee secretary Swamy Vishalananda, Senior journalist Milton Francis, and Media coordinator Vandannoor Suresh. The awards were constituted last year.
