Oppo Find N2 Flip

The Oppo Find N2 Flip has the largest display in this category, larger than even the Motorola Razr 2022’s screen.

In the age of smartphones, a flip phone isn’t a natural fit as the display has enormous importance. Perhaps, Oppo has gone with the flip in the name itself – Find N2 Flip – to emphasise this. Oppo’s Find N2 Flip is a direct competitor to Galaxy Z Flip4 by Samsung, but the former is a bit larger.

The Find N2 Flip’s cover display is bigger, which means it can hold more possibilities than Galaxy Z Flip4.  Find N2 Flip has the largest display in this category, larger than even the Motorola Razr 2022’s screen.

If Galaxy Z Flip4 has a Snapdragon, Oppo has opted for the Dimensity 9000+. Find N2 Flip’s camera architecture has an edge over Galaxy Z Flip4 in its primary eye which is 50 megapixel compared to  12MP of the latter. But N2 Flip is beaten in ultrawide with its 8 megapixel no match for Samsung’s 12 megapixel.

Having said that the Razr has the best camera system among the lot with a 50 megapixel primary camera. The Find N2 Flip has the best selfie camera among these three options.

Find N2 Flip’s foldable display is as good as its competitors

For charging and better battery life, Find N2 Flip seems to be a winner. The Find N2 Flip is  not water resistant. The Find N2 Flip has only an off-white option but it can be shrunk to the size of a cigarette packet in the storage mode. Find N2 Flip scores over Galaxy Z Flip4 in the sense you can’t spot a gap between the two halves. Both phones have more or less the same size as well as shape.

In cover display, Find N2 Flip is bigger. But the  Galaxy Z Flip4 ‘s screen seems to blend with its panel better than the Find N2 Flip.

The Find N2 Flip also flaunts something Oppo has christened Hinge, which can support the phone at 45-110 degree angles, which is designed to make tripod and camcorder mode easier. You may find it a bit difficult to unfold the Find N2 Flip with one hand, though it is not impossible.

The issue comes up again while closing it.   The Find N2 Flip is most pleasant to use when it is unflipped. This state gives Oppo an edge over competitors. Casual swiping too can be problematic in Find N2 Flip.

In the unfold mode, the Razr 2022’s display may be flat, but still Oppo is a better bet. If the unflip mode is opted for, the Find N2 Flip is as spacey as any large smartphone, but it has a few more millimeters of width than the Galaxy’s Z Flip4. This essentially means the Find N2 Flip will feel a bit more weighty.

The Galaxy Z Flip4 is definitely more compact than Oppo’s Find N2 Flip. The Razr is as long but has a bit more width than Oppo’s Find N2 Flip, which also places a power button as well as volume rocker options on the top right-hand side.

Oppo has managed to chip in a fingerprint reader also inside its power button. The Find N2 Flip has fixed the USB-C port at the bottom. Find N2 Flip’s SIM card tray can host 2 Nano Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) but the Oppo has sacrificed the option to have a micro SD card for this.

Biggest cover display in its category

Find N2 Flip has probably got the biggest cover display in this category of foldables. Diagonally Find N2 Flip is 3.26 inches offering   28.4cm² area. So essentially it is bigger than Razr 2022  in these specs as it has only 2.7 inches and flaunts  22.3cm² area.

The Find N2 Flip will get you a  6.8-inch AMOLED panel and a  1080×2520 pixel resolution on the inside.  The refresh rate is 120Hz though the  Find N2 Flip’s cover will offer you only the  standard 60Hz. The Find N2 Flip will offer you a brightness of  1200nits maximum.  In bright lights, Find N2 Flip is a better option than the Z Flip4.

The Find N2 Flip has a 4,300 mAh battery compared with 3,700 mAh of Galaxy Z Flip4 and Razr’s 3,500 mAh. The Huawei P50 pocket with 4,00O mAh is the next best bet after Find N2 Flip. In the charging aspect, Oppo’s Find N2 Flip offers 44 watt charging but you may get close to 36 watt, which is fair enough.
