Features in the Apple iPhone 14 Pro add more value for money, and with that Apple aims at redefining user experience.
The incredible growth of the iPhone to become the most successful product in history has transformed the smartphone industry by changing the way people communicate, take photos and consume digital media. Every new iPhone brought into the market becomes the centre of attraction instantaneously. No wonder, the Apple iPhone 14 Pro is also a sensation in line with the brand’s tradition. It is available in four colours – space black, gold, silver and deep purple.
A redesigned notch area, called the Dynamic Island was the talk of the town among the features of the 14 Pro series when it was unveiled. It comes across as a pill-shaped cut-out for the front camera and Face ID sensors which also act as a miniature secondary display for showing notifications and other content. Dynamic Island is Apple’s answer to Android phone-makers’ multi-tasking like Samsung’s ability to open multiple apps at a time on screen. It expands to show alerts and may change shape depending on the app.
The new Apple phone also gets upgraded cameras, a faster processor, an always-on display and iOS 16 as well as new safety features including Crash Detection and Emergency SOS via Satellite. The US model doesn’t have a SIM card tray and instead, it uses an eSIM.
Apple iPhone 14 Pro: Always-on display
The Apple phone 14 Pro smart device runs on iOS 16, which brings in an interesting feature like ‘always-on display’ – a customization option for your lock screen. The always-on display is a low-power version of your lock screen that can show essential information when your phone is locked.
Even though it’s not new to Android phones, the Apple version has come out as the best one yet. It indeed is something you would look forward to. Always-on display shows the time, date, widgets, notifications and shaded-out version of your lock screen’s wallpaper.
The Apple iPhone 14 Pro has three rear cameras – a main wide-angle camera, an ultrawide and a telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The lens on the main camera has a wider focal length now. The main camera also gets a new larger 48-megapixel sensor.
The ultrawide camera gets a new sensor with more focus pixels and a stepped-down f2.2 aperture lens. The telephoto camera gets a lift from the Apple iPhone 14 Pro’s Photonic Engine processing.
Smoother, faster iPhone
The True Depth camera got an upgraded lens with a brighter f1.9 aperture. And the selfie camera has auto-focus for the first time ever, which works great for group selfies. Cinematic mode can now record in 4K and at 24 frames per second.
There’s a new video image stabilization tool called Action mode. Driving all these upgrades is the Cupertino based technology major’s new A16 Bionic chip. In use, everything feels peppy. If you are an enthusiast obsessed with gaming, the phone woudl come across as an absolute delight, for sure.
The 14 Pro’s battery had no problem making it good for a full day use. In about 30 minutes of charging, the battery level goes up by 30-50%. Above all, the A16 Bionic processor powers the phone to perform smooth and fast.
It measures 71.5 X 147.5 X 7.85 mm and weighs 206gms. 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display is superbly bright. The price of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro starts at $999 for the base variant with 128 GB storage. There are features that add more value for money to the phone by which Apple aims at redefining the user experience.
