The Huawei Mate Xs 2 comes with some awesome specs

Foldable phones, when they had arrived some time ago, had triggered much enthusiasm among smartphone freaks out there. But then not many manufacturers found much success in such rigs, so to say. However, Huawei is one company that still believes there is a market for foldable phones even in the current era. And that is exactly what the Huawei Mate Xs 2 hints at.

The company’s newly announced Mate Xs 2 points at the belief Huawei has in a new foldable device. Arriving as a successor to 2020’s Mate Xs, the Huawei Mate Xs 2 comes with a tad bit of redesign elements and some awesome specs too.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 will come with an OLED display that unfolds to a 7.8-inch diagonal screen. The display boats 2480 x 2200 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Try folding it around the rear and you will see the screen shrinking to 6.5-inches with a 2480 x 1176 pixels resolution.

Huawei Mate Xs 2 is lighter than the predecessor

The top right corner is where the maker has placed the 10MP selfie snapper. The large form doesn’t add to the weight of the device, and it is around just 255 grams, compared with the Mate Xs which weighed 300 grams, this one is going to be lightweight.

Foldable as it is, the device deploys a double rotor hinge mechanism, and that the device maker thinks would enhance durability and zero crease on the display.

The Huawei Mate Xs 2 comes with the company’s own M-Pen 2s stylus, which would help you scribble down notes on the tablet-sized rig. Huawei has also thrown in a triple camera set on the Mate Xs 2. The main camera is a 50MP main shooter, while the other two are 13MP ultrawide snapper and an 8MP telephoto module with 3x optical and 30x digital zoom and OIS respectively.

To be available in white, black & purple hues

The device comes powered by the Snapdragon 888 4G chipset with 8/12GB RAM and up to 512GB of built-in storage. A 4,880 mAh battery with 66W fast charging adds power to the device, while Huawei’s HarmonyOS 2 is what drives it,

When it arrives, the device will be offered in white, black and purple hues. The 8/256GB model is expected to go on sale for $1,512, while the 12/512GB model will have a $1,966 price tag.
