Mumbai: Rehmatein, the renowned music concert’s sixth edition witnessed veterans Sonu Nigam and Hariharan taking music to a new high, accompanied by an 18 piece orchestra. Rehmatein 6, a fundraiser event from Sangeetam Charitable Trust, was hosted by E-Bizz Entertainment Pvt Ltd at Shanmukhananda Hall, Sion Mumbai.  Rehmatein 6 will be donating the proceeds collected from the concert towards aiding the Kerala flood victims .

The event was a full house concert with a noble cause attached to it. Hariharan and Sonu Nigam sang all their super hit songs for the audience. Padma Vibhushan Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan, Padmashri Anup Jalota, Talat Aziz, Salim Merchant, Jaspinder Narula, Leslie Lewis and Yogesh Lakhani attended.

The trust, co-founded by Saurabh Daftary, has been extending financial aid to the artists of the music fraternity over the last decade and over the last five year via Rehmatein.

While in the first year they presented an amount of  Rs 5 lakh to the living legends of the entertainment industry Khayyam and Rajendra Mehta, in the second year, Rehmatein provided medical insurance cover to as many as 20 musicians. In the third, fourth and fifth years, it  provided medical aid and insurance cover to over 100 musicians.
