Thiruvananthapuram: Most of us are really fond of superhero movies. When Hollywood came up with a slew of superheroes, the Indian film industry had only one name to boast abut – Shakthiman. Later came Krrish, G.One and Flying Jatt. Yet the Malayalam film industry did not have any superhero movies to talk about. But with the new Anson Paul film, Mollywood will also get its superhero flick.
The Gambler all set to become the first superhero movie of Mollywood. The first look poster of the movie has been outed. Anson Paul who was seen in movies including Solo, Aadu 2 and the Mammootty starrer Abrahaminte Santathikal will be seen donning the lead role. Tom Emmatty, the director and scriptwriter, is a known name after his Oru Mexican Aparatha arrived some time ago.
The family thriller set in Thrissur portrays Anson Paul in a superhero get up. Well known model and VJ Dayyana Hameed is debuting opposite Paul in the flim, which also has Innocent, Salim Kumar, Sijoy Varghese, Roopesh Peethambaran, Jayaraj Warrier, Aristo Suresh, Joseph Annakutty Jose, Vishnu Govind, Vijayakumar, Vinod Narayanan, Sreelakshmi, Ranjini Chandi, Malati Teacher, and Vidhya in prominent roles.
Gopi Sundar composes music for the movie, while Prakash Velayudhan cranks the camera. The movie produced by Thankachan Emmanuel under the banner of True Line Cinemasis expected to hit theaters in April.
