Kochi: Kerala Blasters youngsters Prasanth K and Loken Meitei have reached Finland to train with Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho, a top division club in Finland. They will be trained under top coaches at the club till July 1st.

Prasanth K, 20, was one of the players signed by Kerala Blasters on a long term contract after end of Season 3. The winger repaid the faith the club showed in him by being a regular player and played in various positions. Prasanth who hails from Kozhikode has been part of the U-19 National team camp earlier.

Loken Meitei who hails from Manipur also made his debut for the Blasters last season. The 21-year old started his career for Royal Wahingdoh and was picked up by Kerala Blasters in the ISL draft.

Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho is the current runners up in the top division league of Finland, previously winning it in 2016. They have their regular presence in UEFA Europa League for the past 3 years.

Commenting on this development, Head Coach, David James said “It is great to be able to arrange our two players, Prasanth and Loken, to get some football experience in Finland with SJK. We have many friends around the world and we intend to galvanise these relationships like that with SJK, to help improve our players whilst showing some of our talents to wider audiences.”
